About Using Ionic and Colloidal Minerals
Dosage - Time - Organic - Safety - For
Children - For Pets
How
Much Should I Take? For Ionic and
Colloidal Minerals we recommend you
follow the manufacturers
instructions. Many minerals are very
toxic in anything other than in
minute trace amounts, so make sure
you have a reputable brand. Most
liquid minerals, if you take to much,
cause diarrhoea. Children should take
about 1/2 of the adult dose with
variance for age and weight. For
seawater, up to one third of a cup
per day.
Taste:
Many taste Awful, but this is reduced
by adding to fruit juice or other
foods or by taking tablets.
When To
Take Them:
You will benefit
from mineral supplements no matter
when you decide to take it. You may
experience the best results by taking
just before, during or after a meal
in the a.m. and/or p.m. By so doing,
you benefit from the stomach's
activated digestive
"juices" and can more
quickly absorb the minerals. A
popular way is to add liquid minerals
to your drinking water, this improves
the flavour of the water and provides
an electrolyte replacement during the
day.
Can You
Take To Much?
This is a
nutritional supplement and therefore
contains no medicinal properties or
drugs as ingredients. The vast
majority of individuals can take
dietary supplements without any side
effects whatsoever. However, if
you are not accustomed to taking full
spectrum dietary supplements and have
a past history of sensitivities, you
might wish to begin slowly, building
up to the recommended level over a
period of time. Unlike some vitamins
you might take that could accumulate
to toxic levels in your body,
minerals not used by your body are
excreted in a few hours
Minerals such
as aluminium, arsenic, lead and so
forth in naturally occurring trace
amounts are not only beneficial to
the body but actually help the body
to remove potentially harmful heavy
metal forms of these elements. So, it
is virtually impossible to overdose.
Even if you were to take 10 times the
recommended amount the only side
effect would likely be diarrhoea for a
day or so.
Have
They Been Tested for Safety?
Yes. All manufacturers must test
products before being put on sale.
Safety as well as efficacy should be
of equal concern as new products
continue to hit the market.
Are All
Minerals Natural and Organic?
All minerals are elements which occur
naturally in nature, some are
metallic and some are not. The
metallic minerals are always metallic
regardless of where you find them.
Some minerals are called organic as
they have been extracted from plant
material, however a mineral is still
a mineral and can never be truly
classed as organic.
An all-natural
product is one in which there are no
synthetic or chemical additives
included. Ideally mineral products
are collected from nature and
represent the natural balance and are
not composed of formulations of
refined mineral compounds.
Are
They Safe For Pets?
Yes. A
good measure of dosage is the same as
for children. Farmers traditionally
give salt licks to animals as a way
of adding minerals to the diet and animals have an ability to know what
is good for them and will supplement their diet by eating mineral rich soils,
drinking a little seawater etc. |
